Pebblebee’s Brighter, Louder, Slimmer Trackers

Pebblebee has just launched updated versions of its popular AirTag-like tracking devices, The Clip 5 and the Card 5. These trackers promise to deliver better visibility, louder alarms, enhanced safety features, and slimmer profiles, making them even more useful for everyday personal and item tracking. We explore how these new devices improve on their predecessors and what this means for users who want reliable and efficient tracking solutions.

Brighter LEDs and Louder Alarms Enhance Personal Safety

The newly released Pebblebee Clip 5 retains the familiar design that includes a handy loop for attaching it to keychains, bags, or zippers. What sets this version apart is the focus on personal safety enhancements. Pebblebee has significantly increased the brightness of the Clip 5’s LEDs and upgraded its buzzer to a louder alarm sound. This makes the Clip 5 a more effective panic alarm, alerting those nearby in an emergency situation.

Activating the Clip 5’s alarm is simple: pressing the button rapidly triggers both the bright lights and the loud buzzer. Meanwhile, it also sends a notification to an emergency contact with a direct link to the user’s current location. This feature, called Alert, is available free of charge. For those who want more comprehensive coverage, Pebblebee offers a subscription service named Alert Live, which can share your real-time location with multiple people during emergencies.

Durability has been another area of improvement with the Clip 5. It is designed to withstand the rigors of daily use while maintaining its reliability as a safety device. The battery life holds strong at up to 12 months on a single charge, and recharging is now more convenient via a standard USB-C cable—an upgrade from the proprietary chargers required by some previous models.

Pebblebee has also introduced a fresh graphite color for the Clip 5 and a new “Evercolor” program. Every 12 weeks, two new limited-edition Clip 5 colors will launch, replacing the prior set. At launch, this program includes “emerald storm” and “amethyst purple” shades, giving users stylish and unique options to match their preferences.

Slimmer, Smarter Card 5 with Wireless Charging

Alongside the Clip 5, Pebblebee has announced the Card 5, a wallet-sized tracker that is now 30 percent slimmer than its predecessor, the Pebblebee Card Universal. At just 1.8 millimeters thick, the Card 5 is one of the thinnest card trackers on the market, only slightly thicker than the 1.7-millimeter Ugreen Finder Slim. However, Pebblebee’s Card 5 stands out with its longer battery life, delivering up to 18 months per charge compared to Ugreen’s 12 months.

A major upgrade for the Card 5 is wireless charging. You can now recharge this tracker using any compatible wireless charger, like the ones used for smartphones or wireless earbuds. This change eliminates the need for a specific proprietary cable, which has often been a hassle in the past. Wireless charging makes topping up the Card 5’s battery fast, easy, and convenient.

While the Clip 5 is designed to be visible and can attach to keys or bags, the Card 5 is meant to remain hidden inside a wallet, billfold, or passport holder. Due to its specific use case, Pebblebee has chosen not to include the Card 5 in the Evercolor program. It remains available in a single gray and black color option, matching the subtle look expected from a wallet tracker.

Compatibility and Pricing Simplified for Users

Both the Clip 5 and Card 5 trackers are priced at $34.99 each and are available starting immediately. These trackers support compatibility with two major network ecosystems: Apple’s Find My and Google’s Find Hub. However, users must pick one network during setup since simultaneous connection to both is not supported.

This choice allows users to integrate the trackers seamlessly into their existing devices, whether they prefer Apple or Google services. The decision to support these widely popular tracking networks ensures Pebblebee’s devices remain versatile and competitive in a market filled with similar products.

At Squaredtech, we see the new Pebblebee Clip 5 and Card 5 as smart advancements that combine style, safety, and convenience. With brighter lights, louder alarms, longer battery life, and more user-friendly charging options, these trackers make it easier for anyone to keep track of important belongings or enhance their personal security with confidence. The addition of color options through the Evercolor program adds a playful touch to a practical device, something few competitors offer.
