Quick Share AirDrop Is Coming to a Lot More Android Phones

Google has quietly been chipping away at one of the most stubborn friction points in consumer tech — sending a file between an Android phone and an iPhone — and today it took another meaningful step. The company announced that its Quick Share AirDrop integration is expanding to more than 20 additional Android devices, spanning Samsung’s flagship and foldable lineup, plus handsets from OnePlus, HONOR, Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo.

This isn’t a brand-new feature. Google first added AirDrop compatibility to Quick Share back in November 2025, a move that turned what was previously an Android-only file-sharing tool into a genuine cross-platform bridge. You can read more about how Android’s cross-device features work on Google’s official Android site. What’s new today is the breadth of hardware that now qualifies — and the list is longer than most people probably expected.

Which Android Devices Now Support Quick Share AirDrop?

The newly supported devices span the major Android OEMs in a meaningful way. On the Samsung side, the expansion is particularly notable — it now covers everything from the current Galaxy S26 series all the way back to the Galaxy S24 lineup, plus a broad sweep of Samsung’s foldable catalogue:

  • Samsung Galaxy S26, S26+, S26 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge (newly added)
  • Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra (newly added)
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, Z Flip6 (newly added)
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Fold6 (newly added)
  • Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold (newly added)

Google’s own Pixel devices were already in the mix, and they remain well-represented. The Pixel 10 family — including the 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, 10 Pro Fold, and 10a — is supported, alongside the Pixel 9 series and the Pixel 8a. Beyond the two dominant Android brands, devices from HONOR, OnePlus, Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo round out the compatible list. Notably, the OnePlus 15, HONOR Magic V6, and OPPO Find X9 series are all joining for the first time.

Google has also confirmed that the Motorola Razr Fold 2026, the OPPO Find X8 series, and the HONOR Magic8 Pro will get Quick Share AirDrop compatibility in the coming months — so the rollout is still very much in motion.

How Does the Quick Share AirDrop Transfer Actually Work?

The implementation is smarter than you might think, and it matters that Google got the user experience right here. On the Android side, users need to enable the Share with Apple devices setting inside Quick Share. From there, an Android-to-iPhone transfer requires the iPhone owner to open AirDrop in the Control Center and set visibility to
