Gawking at Samsung’s New Wi-Fi Speaker: CES 2026

Samsung pushed audio innovation forward at CES 2026, unveiling its latest sound lineup alongside TVs and home tech. Among the announcements, Samsung’s new Wi-Fi speaker quickly stood out. Designed for modern homes, it combines premium sound, smart connectivity, and minimalist aesthetics, signaling Samsung’s deeper commitment to high-end wireless audio.

The company refreshed its soundbars and introduced a new class of Wi-Fi speakers aimed at listeners who want more than basic Bluetooth playback. At the center of attention are two Music Studio models, led by the LS50H, which combines design-first appeal with serious audio credentials.

Samsung’s New Wi-Fi Speaker Steals the CES 2026 Spotlight

Samsung debuted two Wi-Fi speakers under its Music Studio series: the Music Studio 5 (LS50H) and Music Studio 7 (LS70H). Both were designed by French industrial designer Erwan Bouroullec, known for his minimalist approach and functional elegance. The speakers feature soft curves, fabric finishes, and muted color options that allow them to blend naturally into living spaces rather than dominate them.

The LS50H Wi-Fi speaker serves as the entry model. It uses a 4-inch driver paired with two tweeters to deliver balanced audio suited for music, podcasts, and casual listening. Midrange tones stay clear, while highs remain crisp without sounding harsh. Bluetooth support allows easy streaming from phones and laptops, while Wi-Fi connectivity enables higher-quality playback across a home network.

The larger LS70H raises ambitions significantly. It delivers 3.1.1-channel spatial audio with native Dolby Atmos support, creating a sense of height and depth rarely found in standalone Wi-Fi speakers. A dedicated subwoofer channel anchors bass, a center channel improves dialogue clarity, and height channels simulate overhead sound effects. Unlike many competitors, the LS70H does not rely on a separate soundbar to deliver Atmos.

The LS70H can operate on its own or pair wirelessly with compatible Samsung TVs, soundbars, and additional speakers. Multi-room audio setups are supported, allowing synchronized playback throughout the home. Audio processing reaches up to 24-bit/96kHz, enabling lossless, studio-quality sound far beyond the limits of standard Bluetooth streaming. Samsung engineers tuned both speakers at the company’s Audio Lab in Korea, using test environments designed to replicate real living rooms.

Design plays a major role in the appeal. Bouroullec’s influence shows in the use of premium wool-blend fabrics and soft color palettes such as beige, green, and black. Stable bases allow flexible placement on shelves, desks, or side tables, positioning the speakers as décor pieces as much as audio equipment.

Wi-Fi speakers continue to gain traction as listeners seek better sound quality and a wider range than Bluetooth can offer. Samsung enters a competitive space dominated by Sonos and Apple, but the LS50H and LS70H fill a gap with Atmos-ready wireless speakers that integrate deeply with Samsung’s TV and soundbar ecosystem. Their CES 2026 debut aligns with renewed consumer interest in home upgrades following the holiday shopping season.

Demand is expected to be strong. Casual listeners are drawn to the design, while enthusiasts value expandability and high-resolution audio. Integration with Samsung TVs enhances smart home setups, and voice control via Bixby or Alexa adds convenience. Battery details remain unconfirmed, though these speakers are clearly intended for stationary, plug-in use.

Dolby Atmos Soundbars Redefine Home Theater Audio

Samsung paired its Wi-Fi speaker launch with an upgraded soundbar lineup. The HW-Q990H headlines the range as an 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos system. Eleven front and surround channels create width, four height channels add vertical immersion, and a powerful wireless subwoofer delivers deep bass. Detachable surround speakers allow flexible placement without complex wiring.

New features enhance everyday viewing. Sound Elevation lifts dialogue to the center of the screen, while Auto Volume balances audio levels across content types, preventing sudden spikes during ads or action scenes. These features rely on AI processing powered by Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor, building on the strengths of previous Q990 models.

Samsung also introduced the HW-QS90H for smaller setups. This 7.1.2-channel soundbar includes built-in subwoofers and a gyro sensor that detects orientation. Whether wall-mounted or placed on a console, the system automatically adjusts sound output for optimal performance. HDMI eARC support ensures lossless audio passthrough for consoles and streaming devices.

CES 2026 Outlook and Why Samsung’s New Wi-Fi Speaker Matters

Samsung’s audio announcements complement its broader CES 2026 strategy, which includes Micro RGB TVs and expanded smart home products. While pricing and release dates remain unannounced, Samsung typically launches new audio gear in spring, starting in the US and Europe before wider global rollout.

The company positions its new Wi-Fi speakers against premium rivals like Sonos and Bose, but gains an edge through ecosystem integration. Features such as Q-Symphony sync TV and speaker audio, while SpaceFit calibration adapts sound to room acoustics. High-resolution streaming from services like Tidal and Qobuz further targets audiophiles.

Samsung’s new Wi-Fi speaker lineup blends art, engineering, and immersive audio in a way few competitors currently match. Combined with its latest soundbars, Samsung reinforces its leadership in home entertainment. CES 2026 makes one thing clear: wireless audio is evolving beyond convenience, and Samsung intends to shape what comes next.
